I have been having some crazy ass dreams lately. The other night I dreamed that a UFO came down towards me and my friend and was going to abduct us. I remember it so vividly, coming right for us, and I kept screaming "I'm not human!!!! I'm Iranian!!! I wouldn't be good research!!! I'm not human!!! You don't want me, take HER instead [referring to my friend]." I woke up screaming at 4am. I really was trying to persuade the aliens not to take me by telling them "I'm not human" - HAHA. WTF is that about? I'm really into dream interpretation and that dreams are subconscious symbols or metaphors that represent things that bother us, things on our minds, etc. There's this great website that I've been using as a "guide" and it's been pretty accurate every time but this UFO interpretation just totally threw me off:

"To dream that you are being abducted by aliens, indicates your fears of your changing surroundings or your fear of losing your home and family. You feel that your space and/or privacy is being invaded."

"To see a UFO in your dream, signifies your desires to find your spiritual purpose in life. Alternatively, it indicates that you are feeling alienated from those around you. The dream may also be a metaphor suggesting that you are a little "spacey" or? have "spaced out" attitude. You need to be more grounded and come back to reality."

Nope, and nope. First of all, I live with 2 great roommates in a house, one of which is NEVER there. So I have plenty of privacy and space, thanks. My family's in St. Louis and they're chillin' - no worries of losing them, God forbid. The only "changing surroundings" that might be going on is quitting my job and going back to school in the fall. But I'm not "fearing" that change. Secondly, I'm not a religious person - I don't have the need to adhere to just one religion - but I am spiritual, and through years of soul-searching, researching, and experience, I do believe in a higher authority (aka God, Allah, the Big Guy, etc.). But do I need "spiritual purpose?" Who do I supposedly feel alienated from? Am I spacey??? No way (at least I hope not).

So I have come to the conclusion that the UFO dream was, at best, pure entertainment and probably a result of reading an article earlier in the day about a dozen Brits spotting UFOs over Great Britain. Go figure.
